My wife wanted to take the kids to Lake Hope for Father’s Day so we went for a drive out Rt. 50. Neither of us uses a smart phone or GPS so I just figured out the general area and drove in that direction. I was driving her Kia Soul and having a nice time as it’s a lot more composed than my Regal. I knew it was near Zaleski so the first sign I saw pointing to Zaleski I took. We ended up driving down Rt. 677 and I realized I had a new favorite road. My kids are all passed out in the back seat until we start driving over the hills. My son wakes up suddenly and starts saying “what?” in a shocked voice repeatedly. My wife and I are cracking up and my wife tries to take his picture in her mirror as we come up to the last hill crest. It ended up being a really sharp elevation change and in our focus to see if we could spook him we all almost puked.
Still a nice Father’s Day though and definitely good to know where the good driving is.
